The trans-classical machine
[1984]
By means of the trans-classical machine (art and technology) aesthetic messages are no longer generated as reduplications of the original by using classical models, but through the technical realisation of an – if necessary - especially constructed electronic system.
By using this art-machine, in which ultramodern aesthetic realities run programmatically as categories of the mind, art as an aesthetic license with the potential to initiate original beginnings gains new dimensions.
Through permutation of a selected and encoded pool of symbols a multimedial language array is generated within a stochastic system, in which synthetic forms and concepts are tested for possibly new meanings and liabilities.
The physical nature of this system is that of a simulation model, which uses electronic media in order to project a new sensuality and defines its system output by means of audiovisual moments.
The machine does not care, whether the information that was chosen from an iconic process is a specific one.
